Special Abilities

Corrupting Virus (Ex) A data-corrupted creature is capable of infecting certain victims with a self-replicating virus that gradually alters their minds. When a data-corrupted creature deals damage with their claw attack to a non-mindless technological construct or a living creature with the android subtype, the target must succeed at a DC 18 Will saving throw or be infected with the data infection curse (see below).
Firewall (Su) As a reaction to being targeted by an attack that targets EAC, a data-corrupted creature can create a temporary shield of corrupted data that grants a +2 bonus to EAC against that attack.

Data Infection

Type curse; Save Will DC 18
Track physical disease (special); Frequency 1/day
Effect At the weakened state, the victim is only sickened. At the impaired state, the victim isn’t exhausted and must attempt a Will save instead of a Fortitude save. A victim who dies from the curse rises as a data-corrupted creature 2d6 hours later.
Cure 2 consecutive saves
Special The effects of this curse can affect constructs.

Description

Several decades ago, an unknown hacker released the Malwarewolf virus into the Pact Worlds’ infospheres. The virus inflicted a disease-like curse on all robotic life-forms, from anacites to androids to SROs. It slowly corrupted souls and internal programming until the targets became mindless brutes. Their body language became threatening, their visual sensors glowed with malevolence, and sharpened metallic claws emerged from their manipulators.
